Levy Payment

We recently decided to move our strata accounts to Macquarie Bank Limited. Our prime motivation for the move was to increase flexibility and convenience for you when making your levy payments, as Macquarie Bank, through DEFT® Payment systems, has a wide range of payment options. As a result you will notice some changes on your next levy notice. The full range of payment options will be detailed on the levy notice, and are also listed below.

DEFT allows you to make payments by credit card or from your bank, building society or credit union transaction account, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A surcharge for credit card payments does apply.

To pay your levies directly from your transaction account, you are required to register your details prior to taking advantage of this payment option. Registration is quick and easy and can be done online at www.deft.com.au

To register, simply select the Online Direct Debit Registration option on the left of the page by entering your DEFT Reference code (supplied on levy notice) and:
Choose payment option (left hand side). Default is Credit Card so please make sure you change selection ie direct debit etc on left hand side of screen.

  • complete your name and address details,
  • nominate a six digit (numeric) security code,
  • complete your account details,
  • nominate a security question and answer (should you misplace your Security Code),
  • agree to our service agreement, and
  • print or save the confirmation page detailing the registration and Service Agreement.

In a few minutes you'll be registered and you can start making payments. To make your payments visit www.deft.com.au or call 1300 30 10 90.

For your convenience, both the phone and internet payment options allow you to schedule recurring weekly, fortnightly, monthly or quarterly payments in advance. So you can set and forget your levy payments.

BPAY payments are made through your financial institution's phone or internet banking service. If your financial institution doesn't offer BPAY you can still pay by phone or internet using DEFT Phonepay and DEFT Online.

You can pay in person at any Australia Post outlet. Simply present your cheque, cash or money order together with the remittance advice at the bottom of the levy notice.

Simply make out a cheque and write your DEFT reference number on the back. Mail it with the remittance advice at the bottom of the levy notice to the address indicated on your levy notice.

We are sure that you will enjoy the convenience, simplicity and flexibility of the range of payment options now available.
